Kitulo National Park

Kitulo National Park is a unique and breathtaking park located in Tanzania’s southern highlands, between the Kipengere and Poroto mountain ranges. Often called the “Serengeti of Flowers,” the park is famous for its spectacular wildflower displays, especially orchids, which bloom in vibrant colors during the rainy season from November to April.

Covering about 412 square kilometers, Kitulo sits at an altitude of over 2,600 meters, creating a cool and refreshing climate. The park is home to more than 350 plant species, including rare and endemic flowers found nowhere else in the world. Wildlife includes elands, reedbucks, and a variety of bird species.

Unlike traditional safari parks, Kitulo is best explored on foot, offering peaceful hiking experiences surrounded by rolling grasslands and stunning mountain scenery.
