Day 01: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater

Start early in the morning from Arusha with your picnic lunch, which is a common starting point for safaris in northern Tanzania. The drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area takes about 3-4 hours, depending on road conditions

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a remarkable blend of natural beauty, wildlife conservation, and cultural significance, making it a must-visit destination for travellers interested in experiencing the best of Tanzania’s natural and cultural heritage.

Explore the diverse habitats of the crater floor, known for its high concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, rhinos, and various antelope species.

After the game drive, return to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and an overnight stay. Spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the facilities at the lodge.

Day 02: Karatu – Tarangire National Park & Depurture

Have an early breakfast at Eileen’s Trees Inn. Depart for Tarangire National Park while carrying your picnic lunch,  Tarangire National Park is located in northern Tanzania, about 118 km southwest of Arusha. Covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometres. 

Characterized by vast savannah plains, riverine forests, and the Tarangire River which flows through the park. Famous for its large elephant herds, with up to 3,000 elephants inhabiting the park during peak seasons. It’s also home to a variety of other wildlife including lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. The park is dotted with ancient baobab trees, creating a unique and picturesque landscape. Offers game drives, walking safaris, and birdwatching opportunities.

Enjoy a full game drive in Tarangire, exploring the diverse landscapes and wildlife. After lunch, continue exploring Tarangire and searching for wildlife, including predators like lions and leopards, then late afternoon departs from Tarangire National Park and drive back to Arusha.
